We can offer an exciting opportunity to work for a large industrial mineral company and a developing purchasing organization. Reporting to the Head of procurement for Scandinavia & Finland you will be responsible for of a wide range of categories and large spend. As Procurement Manager you are part of the Scandinavian purchasing team divided by country and category, supporting local Operations at Omya production sites. Your main stakeholders will be the Site managers at Omya’s Swedish plants. You will also coordinate purchasing activities in Sweden according to the guidelines from the Lead Buyers in Omya’s global Procurement organization.
You will take ownership of all the large contracts in Sweden and develop the strategy for categories and sub-categories. Furthermore, you will develop the supplier base in line with category strategy to support operations and other functions and act as a project purchaser to drive cost. Your categories cover the local indirect and direct spend and contain a wide range from raw materials, packaging, chemicals, spare parts, machine tools, to maintenance and service.
